France's Fonroche Energies has enlisted the services of solar tracking company Exosun to supply solar tracking technology to its 12 MW utility scale ground-mounted PV power plant in the southwest of France.
The French renewable energy company has already begun construction on the Le Betout PV plant, which has been financed by Capenergie 2 a renewable energy fund managed by capital investment firm Omnes Capital.
Le Betout will cover 79 acres of land in Saint-Helene, near Bordeaux in the southwest corner of the country and, once complete, will generate 16,900 MWh of solar power per year, which is enough clean energy to power 4,828 local homes.
Exosun will supply 81 of its Exotrack HZ horizontal single-axis solar trackers, supporting 40,640 solar panels. The Exotrack HZ tracker has the Exobox at its heart a software that enables on-site or remote centralized tracer control and real time tracking data. Exosun will also support Fonroche during the construction, commissioning and operation phases of the plant, advising on optimal performance conditions for their trackers, as well as continued operations and maintenance guidance.

We aim to optimize the plants profitability and obtain a rapid return on investment." Installation of the trackers is scheduled to begin this month.
