The Norcross, Georgia-based manufacturer has announced it will be adding 48 new positions to the solar module manufacturing facility at its headquarters with module production about to start on a 24/7 basis, mirroring its cell manufacturing production line.
In a press release on the Suniva website, the company's vice-president of manufacturing and operations, Greg Mihalik, said there have been ‘unprecedented' sales bookings in Q1 and Suniva has already sold out its Q2 capacity.

Demand is partly being driven by Suniva's compliance with the terms of the Buy American Act which stipulates any products bought by the U.S. federal government must contain at least 50% American content and must have undergone final assembly in the country.
