The China-based company has said the support framework – due to be launched next January – will help its European distributors with such issues as co-marketing funding, exhibition support, increased product support, training, and sales incentives.

The announcement was made during Suntech’s 2010 European Partner Day, which saw VAR partner representatives from across Europe attending, including from Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, and the Czech Republic.

Strategies for next year were also discussed, with information sessions on product strategy, order fulfillment, technical customer support, marketing strategy and financing presented. Dr. Matthias Fawer, vice president at Bank Sarasin and lead author of the bank’s annual solar industry study also spoke to attendees about the key trends and challenges facing the solar industry.
