Krempel presents AKASOL backsheet laminates

The AKASOL is a combination of polymer and fluoropolymer films. To facilitate integrated architectural design with PV-modules, Krempel will present a unique red variant in addition to black and transparent PV backsheet.

The new PV backsheet AKASOL PVL 2-1000V + Primer that will be presented has achieved the TÜV certification in May. The polyester film of this new development is coated with a special primer which replaces the interior fluoropolymer film.

All AKASOL types are available for this application on reels cut to size. A repair tape is also provided by Krempel in case minor damages should occur to the laminated backsheet film during transport or installation of the PV modules.

Subsequent to cross-linking, they can be laminated cold and are then resistant to moisture and temperature.

On request, a combined laminate including a copper layer is available as a basic material for back-contact solar cells.

The delivered laminates have characteristic widths of 810, 1,000 and 1,650 mm. The maximum width amount is up to 2,500 mm. When stored dry under room temperatures, the AKASOL can last six months.

Stand: A1/A10
