Global Solar Energy signs agreements with Italian roof specialists

Global Solar Energy has signed agreements with Italian solar roof specialists Iscom, Energyka and B.A. Energie. With Global Solar Energy's modules, plant operators earn the highest feed-in tariffs of up to 42.7 cents per kilowatt hour. The higher funding is intending to promote building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV).

"Demand for our new module is extremely high. The market for flexible solar modules is currently growing quickly as they are the best solution for roofs with weight limitations. Our PowerFLEX BIPV modules are of particular interest to the Italian market. They allow operators of photovoltaic systems to benefit from higher feed-in-tariffs," explains Jean-Noel Poirier, senior vice president of marketing & business development at Global Solar Energy.

The company's PowerFLEX modules are only 3.5 kilograms per sqaure meter and have 12.6 percent efficiency. "We decided on Global Solar modules as they are currently the most efficient flexible modules on the market. A crucial point for us is that they can be installed quickly on the roof and are particularly well-suited for building integration," states Mauro Menegoli, CEO of Iscom.
