The new spark gap based lightning current arrester was specifically developed for use in PV systems. Its current carrying capability, protective effect and follow current extinction ensure maximum performance, according to the company. Even in the case of direct lightning impulse currents, the DEHNlimit PV 1000 V2 protects a system.

The direct current extinction by means of a spark gap is a unique feature of the arrester. Potential DC short circuit currents up to 100 A DC caused by a tripping spark gap are interrupted without destruction within a split second in case of PV voltages up to 1000 V DC, as the company states. On offer are also the DEHNvenCL modern switchgear that provides the best protection while occupying very little space. The new DEHNsecure will also be on offer at Intersolar.
