Sunways: Banks cancel $8.6 million credit

In light of the continuing downturn in the European photovoltaic industry, yet another negative announcement was made today by a German company. Banks have cancelled their line of credit worth US$8.6 million to LDK Solar subsidiary Sunways.

India: Guidelines for selection of 750 MW grid-connected PV projects

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has released the draft guidelines for the second phase of batch 1 under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission (JNNSM) to set up 750 MW of grid solar PV power projects. Comments and suggestions have been requested by the end of April to facilitate the finalization of the guideline.
