The new hires are Dave Grant, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing; and Paul Dick and Jess Melanson, who will each serve as Vice President of Utility Solutions and Strategy. Together, the three will leverage their decades of expertise across the utility, policy and technology sectors to define and market Tendrils leading software and solutions.
These appointments come at a time of unprecedented growth for Tendril. The company grew revenue by 80 percent year-over-year in 2015, making it the fastest growing data analytics software company in the energy industry. It has also brought several innovative technologies to market, including the first software solution to accelerate the development of Community Solar installations, as well as a High Bill Alert product that allows energy providers to deliver mid-cycle notifications without smart meter data.

Dave Grant joins Tendril as SVP of Sales and Marketing, responsible for global marketing and North American sales. He most recently held senior leadership positions within the sales and marketing organisations of Teradata, a big data analytics and marketing applications company. While at Teradata, Dave led teams responsible for introducing sophisticated data analytics to several vertical industries and played a key role in launching the companys entry into the utility market.?
Paul Dick and Jess Melanson bring a wealth of utility, technology and policy expertise to their roles as Vice President of Utility Solutions and Strategy. They will apply this unique knowledge to lead Tendrils efforts to develop and sell solutions that help utilities adapt and thrive as the energy industry continues to evolve.
Before joining Tendril, Paul held the position of Executive Industry Advisor and Principal Consultant for the Utilities Industry at SAS. In this role he helped utility executives find new opportunities to manage and grow their business using analytics. Prior to joining SAS, Paul held multiple leadership positions at Oklahoma Gas & Electric, an electric utility that serves more than 750,000 customers. Paul has also provided leadership on multiple industry councils, including the Utility Analytics Institute Executive Advisory Council.
Jess joins Tendril from Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), a diversified energy company that includes a competitive generator and an electric and gas utility serving over 2 million customers in New Jersey. While at PSEG, he led the companys corporate strategy group and also had responsibility for operating and growing some of PSEGs thriving green businesses. Prior to joining PSEG, Jess drove energy policy reforms at the New Jersey Governors Office and Board of Public Utilities
