Thanks to the long-term technical buildup and artisan spirit of perfection pursued by Huawei, Huawei inverters are recognized by the market and widely applied on a global scale only three years after entering the industry.

As far as the PV market size is concerned, the USA will still be one of the largest PV consumer markets in the world. By taking regional features and application scenarios into consideration, Huawei endeavors to launch more and better smart PV products and solutions to satisfy local market requirements and improve user experience. Based on the long-term research of the North American market, Huawei introduced the SUN2000-45KTL-US-HV and SUN2000-33/36/40KTL-US products. In addition to inheriting the no-fuse and natural cooling designs in the SUN2000 series, the products adopt the 4-way MPPT and 8-way string input, and feature lower system power consumption and rapid fault recovery, increasing the overall energy yield by 1%-3%. At the same time, next-generation Huawei Hisilicon chips are embedded in the new products. Together with the new PLC technologies, the new products make traditional power converters smarter, which can "think" and become the "brain" of PV power plants. While raising the energy yield, the new products greatly improve the system operation security and reliability within its entire lifecycle, making the availability of the system over 99.5%.

As the first 1500 V string inverter in the world, the SUN2000-45KTL-US-HV inverter becomes a highlight of this exhibition. Compared with the traditional 1000 V centralized solution, the SUN2000-45KTL-US-HV inverter, with its five-level structure design, can significantly reduce self-power consumption, and directly increase of energy yield by more than 0.3%. Inverter efficiency in California (California Efficiency) reaches 98.5%, and the maximum efficiency is over 99%.

During the exhibition, Huawei also showcased accessory products such as SmartLogger 2000 and Smart ACU2000. The SmartLogger 2000 is a highly integrated device specially designed to monitor and manage the PV power system, and is capable of converging interfaces of various devices, converting protocols, collecting data, and performing central monitoring and maintenance for the PV power system. The SmartLogger 2000 supports signal access and real-time online data collection from inverters as well as third-party devices, including power meters, environment monitoring instruments, and box-type transformers, to fully integrate upstream and downstream industries and build for customers leading-edge solutions in the smart PV eco-value chain.

The real-time remote IV curve diagnosis of Huawei Smart PV is another hotspot in the exhibition. Take the traditional centralized 10 MW PV power plant for example, if 1% of the PV modules of the power plant are to be spot-checked, 2 professionals, 7 days and over 40,000 US dollars are required to complete the checking. However, as Huawei's Smart PV inverters can scan and check each PV string precisely, they are able to complete all the online checking procedures of the 10 MW PV power plant in only 30 minutes, which reduce time and costs enormously. They realize Huawei's value concepts of "equal investment but higher return" in Huawei smart PV in real sense.

So far, Huawei has set up 7 R&D Competence Centers all over the globe. Out of these centers, the Silicon Valley Data Information Center, which is responsible for the designing of Huawei's inverter chips, is located in Santa Clara, California. Huawei has also established many branch offices in America, and employed over 1,000 native people. According to a latest report released by world-renowned third-party research institutions GTM and HIS, Huawei ranks first in global inverter shipment in 2015. As Huawei's presence in the North American PV market continues to expand, Huawei's value concept of "equal investment but higher return" is bound to be a bellwether for North American smart PV solutions.
