Over 250 MWp of racking technology – Mounting Systems enhances commitment in Southeast Asia

Mounting Systems, one of the world’s leading developers and manufacturers for solar racking systems continues its expansion course in the Asian market. The German-based-company supplied in total more than 250 MW including projects for Conergy in the Philippines and Thailand among others.

The company’s flagship product, Sigma II, was used as a solution to overcome ground related challenges. Sigma II offers a high degree of flexibility by adapting perfectly to heterogeneous soil conditions and steep terrain slopes. Special, galvanized piles were used in order to ensure durability and ramming piles, earth screws or concrete foundations have been used to guarantee stability.
The supply chain of the racking systems, including the piles from various production sites in China and the company’s headquarters in Germany, presented a particular challenge.
“The organization of deliveries from over 15 000 km distance requires extensive know-how in terms of the planning of cross-border transport chains.”, says Stefan Spork, managing director of Mounting Systems. “Our long experience of over 20 years, with realized deliveries to over 1.200 destinations in 50 countries, is an important factor for the successful implementation of international solar projects.”
