Principal Solar files S-1 registration statement

Principal Solar, Inc (PSI), a publicly traded solar energy holding company executing a unique roll-up strategy to create The World’s First Distributed Solar Utility, filed its S-1 registration statement on Dec. 23, 2013, with the goal of becoming a fully reporting company with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) if and when PSI clears comments with the SEC.
Michael Gorton, CEO and chairman of PSI, says, "In the coming year, we expect to increase the pace of our solar acquisitions, expand the educational activities of the Principal Solar Institute to advance the solar profession, and lay the groundwork for future solar development activities.
"The S-1 filing, along with the recent contract with Carlyle Capital Markets Inc. to source solar acquisition and solar development capital, represent two of the most significant events in the history of Principal Solar and will assist in achieving the 2014 and 2015 objectives of the PSI business plan."
