For the first time in Dutch history, the TU Delft Solar Boat Team is taking the step to develop a solar boat for the sea. It will be a trimaran, a boat with three hulls, which will completely control the ocean on solar energy. On Tuesday 15 January, the team presented the new design of the boat. With this boat, they plan to win the world championship for solar boats in Monaco this summer and to break a world record by crossing The Channel as the fastest solar boat in the world.

Suntech has signed a supply agreement with GRIDSERVE recently for a total of 34.7MW to build a solar power station using bifacial modules in Warrington UK, the project of which will all adopt bifacial modules, P-type, monocrystalline Perc, manufactured by Suntech, who will start supplying for the biggest bifacial modules power station in Europe from June.

March 2019, Nepal Solar Week, the most influential and largest solar energy forum in Nepal, was recently held in Kathmandu. Trina Solar annouced four new series of modules at its HQ of Changzhou, China this Thursday. The maximal output of new series of modules reached 415 watt (415W) in mass production. Trina said the new modules will significantly reduce both the BoS and LCoE of new PV project.
