The commercial storage system manufacturer Tesvolt collaborated with Samsung SDI to develop a high-voltage storage system which is setting new standards for safety and also boasts a 30 year lifespan. The battery contains Samsung SDI’s new prismatic lithium cells, which BMW recently introduced into their electric cars, thereby almost doubling their range. Each cell is monitored individually to ensure the maximum level of safety. A new cell balancing concept, which for the first time optimises the charging currents not only between the cells within each battery module, but also between the battery modules, contributes to the long service life. Tesvolt will present the new storage system at the Energy Storage Europe trade fair in Düsseldorf from 14–16 March 2017.
Engineered Material Systems, Inc. (EMS), a leading global supplier of conductive interconnect materials for photovoltaic applications, announces the introduction of its new CA-150 Series Snap Cure, Low Cost Conductive Adhesive for stringing and shingling crystalline silicon and Heterojunction solar modules. The new conductive adhesive will be displayed in Hall W3, booths 806/807 at the SNEC PV Power Expo, scheduled to take place April 19-21, 2017 in Shanghai, China.
EDF Energies Nouvelles, a subsidiary of the EDF Group, is highlighting the growth of its operations in France.
Solaria Corporation announced that its Solaria PowerXT (TM) residential and commercial solar modules are now being distributed by Fortune Energy, a wholesale distributor of renewable energy products based in Sacramento, CA (with additional offices in Southern CA, Massachusetts and Hawaii). Solaria’s sleek, high-efficiency PowerXT 320/330Wp module is one of the industry’s most reliable and bankable solar products.
Committed to the development of the renewable smart energy industries in the US, the first SMART ENERGY America 2017 Conference is taking place in Boston, Massachusetts on June 14, 2017. Pforzheim/Freiburg/Dubai, March 13, 2017 – in many of the sun-blessed countries in the Middle East, solar energy generation is at the top of the energy agenda. The Intersolar Middle East conference 2017 in Dubai (United Arab Emirates) pays tribute to this fact. Information on current market trends and framework conditions of the industry, and opportunities and risks of market entry awaits participants, as well as the chance to make contact with key players, which are crucial for expanding business relationships in the region. In a comprehensive program held on September 26 and 27 at the Conrad Dubai Hotel, the specialist conference is set to build on the success story of the Intersolar Middle East exhibition 2016.
This year, in Benban in Egypt (Aswan) on an area of almost 100 hectares, the construction of one of the largest solar power plants in the country will begin. The plant will be constructed by the Infinity 50 consortium and its German member, the project developer ib Vogt GmbH; the company Mounting Systems from Rangsdorf will supply the racking system. The newly developed ‘Sigma Tracker’ will be used for the first time; it is a tracking system that promises high material quality, cost efficiency (both in construction and operation) as well as improved energy yield of up to 25%. “We are very proud to be able to help realize one of the first major PV projects in Egypt with our new and innovative ‘Sigma Tracker’ tracking system,” says Michael Sehner, managing director of Mounting Systems GmbH.
