Hanwha Q Cells to present full range of PV solutions based on proprietary and matured Q.ANTUM technology at Intersolar Europe

Hanwha Q CELLS Co., Ltd. will showcase the full suite of photovoltaic products and solutions based on its proprietary and matured Q.ANTUM technology at Intersolar Europe in Munich from June 22nd to 24th 2016. At booth No. 270 in Hall A1, the visitors will learn about the strong international position of one of the largest and most diverse photovoltaic companies worldwide and experience the capabilities of Hanwha Q CELLS in terms of the high performance and high quality of its PV products and solutions. At the booth Hanwha Q CELLS will throw a spotlight on the "PV Stage" where a variety of presentations and the "Installation Innovation Award" will attract the visitors of the fair.
Hanwha Q CELLS´ CEO, Seong Woo Nam, said: "Intersolar Europe has been very important to us presenting our latest technology and innovative energy solutions to our many existing and future customers at Europe´s most important PV trade fair. Particularly we are very excited to present the full suite of product lines with our proprietary Q.ANTUM technology, which will deliver high performance and lasting reliability to our partners’ projects in various applications and scales."
Q CELLS SOLAR MODULES BASED ON EXPERIENCE OF OVER 330 MILLION Q.ANTUM CELLS PRODUCED
At Intersolar Europe Hanwha Q CELLS will focus its PV product and solution exhibition on the renowned Q CELLS brand – which has just been awarded the EuPD Seal "Top Brand PV" for the third time in a row for Europe and for the first time also for the USA and Australia. All showcased Q CELLS solar products will feature Hanwha Q CELLS´ proprietary Q.ANTUM technology as their engine for achieving high energy yields and low levelized costs of electricity (LCOE) in real life conditions. Q.ANTUM is a cell concept based on a rear-side passivation of the solar cell and including many additional and patent protected technological features. Q.ANTUM improves power output, low-light and temperature-behavior, while at the same time offering all of Q CELLS´ VDE certified quality standards like Anti-PID technology, Hot-spot protect, and Tra.Q laser marking. Q.ANTUM has been developed and matured by Hanwha Q CELLS and today looks on a track record of over 330 million cells produced in commercial mass production, equaling 1.5GW.
Next to the high performance and quality solar modules, the visitors of the Hanwha Q CELLS booth will also experience diverse opportunities to combine Q CELLS modules with inverters and storage in order to optimize the LCOE of residential as well as commercial & industrial solar applications. Finally, professionals in utility scale solar will learn about the experience and expertise of Hanwha Q CELLS in engineering and constructing large scale PV power plants.

With the Flat Direct, S:FLEX developed a new low-ballast pitched roof system for non-penetrative installation on foil and bitumen roofs

Hamburg, 13 June 2016 — Non-penetrative installation of PV systems on pitched roofs with foil and bitumen roofing places high demands on the frame, especially on commercial buildings with low load-bearing reserves. S:FLEX now offers installers a new, aerodynamic installation system for this rapidly growing segment of commercial buildings. Flat Direct can be used on pitched roofs with up to 30° incline and guarantees short installation times with its pre-assembled components.

Ubiquitous Energy’s Truly Transparent Solar Technology Demonstrated Globally in BMW Brand Stores

Ubiquitous Energy, Inc., leader in transparent solar technology, is pleased to announce that its ClearView PowerTM technology is being demonstrated in BMW Brand Stores around the world this summer as part of BMW’s “i Exhibition.” The ClearView Power transparent photovoltaic coating is being displayed on 6-inch glass panels produced in Ubiquitous Energy’s Silicon Valley pilot production facility. The demonstrations will provide BMW customers and partners a glimpse of the new material that will allow windows to generate electricity.
The ClearView Power demonstration units were rolled out in the BMW Brand Store in Paris in mid-April. In the coming months, there will also be exhibits in Munich, Brussels, London, Shanghai, and Seoul where ClearView Power prototypes will be on display. “We’re delighted that BMW chose Ubiquitous Energy to participate in this global tour for innovative new technologies,” said Ubiquitous Energy CEO, Miles Barr. “The automotive industry has shown great interest in using our lightweight, transparent solar materials in next-generation vehicles.”
The BMW i Exhibition is taking place in BMW Brand Stores and BMW Driving Centers around the world and invites visitors to enter new holistic experiences. In order to achieve this goal, BMW partners with brands, artists, and startup companies to connect previously unfamiliar worlds and explore new dimensions. BMW invites these partners to jointly make use of the experiential formats as a platform to present both BMW and the partners in an unprecedented context.

Consumers Energy Powers Michigan with Renewable Energy, Celebrates New Solar Facility at Grand Valley State University

Moves Forward with New Energy Sources Beyond Michigan Requirement

Solar trackers powering metal refinishing company Sungen Circle Finishing

Twenty-two innovative solar trackers are now powering metalwork company Sungen Circle Finishing in Newburyport, MA.

The 186kW solar project will help offset more than 65 percent of the electrical needs of the local metal refinishing company.

Originally the company installed a fixed ground mounted system in 2010 which was damaged by 6 feet of snow during a winter storm in 2015. As a repair remedy, the lower section of panels on fixed racking was dismantled and panels were relocated on 22 AllEarth Solar Trackers onsite. This location is unique because of a 50-50 split system between fixed solar and trackers, already clearly demonstrating power output difference from trackers at the same site.

The project utilized New England-made AllEarth Solar Trackers, which track the sun throughout the day to maximize energy production. The ground-mounted pre-engineered solar trackers are designed for residential and commercial-scale installations and are manufactured in Williston, Vt. by AllEarth Renewables.

AllEarth Solar Trackers produce over 30 percent more energy than fix ground-mounted systems and up to 45 percent more energy than rooftop systems per kilowatt installed.

The project was installed by Talmage Solar Engineering, Inc. / Solar Market, one of the oldest and most experienced solar installation companies in the country, located in Arundel, Maine.

“We were thrilled to supply innovative, American-made solar trackers for this project, a solar solution that will produce more energy from the sun and give our customer greater long-term energy savings. The uniqueness of having 50-50 split of fixed and tracking systems at the same location will give us great deal of information about power output value between tracking and fixed solar systems,” said Naoto Inoue for Solar Market / Talmage Solar Engineering, Inc.

"We are very pleased with the project design and construction, and continue to be pleased with the solar performance of our project. We continue to enjoy our solar savings each and every day at our business," said Rod L`Italien of Sungen Circle Finishing, Inc.
