Together with groSolar, Marathon Capital developed materials to present groSolar’s strategic business plan to the market. Marathon Capital then conducted a comprehensive process to explore financial and strategic investor interest in partnering with groSolar to further accelerate its growth in the distributed marketplace and was pleased to help facilitate the transaction between two strongly aligned players with a great strategic fit. "We believe groSolar’s successful distributed generation business combined with EDF RE’s financial acumen and market presence will enable the platform to expand significantly in the years ahead," stated David Kirkpatrick, of Marathon Capital who led the M&A process for groSolar.

Azure Power commissions four new solar plants across three different states
Azure Power, India’s leading solar power company, announced its commissioning of solar power plants in three states. The projects include a 50 MW plant in Andhra Pradesh, two plants of total capacity of 28 MW plant in Punjab and a 10 MW plant in Karnataka. These plants, connected to the respective state grids, are part of Azure Power’s 900+ MW portfolio in 15 states. This includes the country’s largest operational solar plant of 100 MW under India’s National Solar Mission in Rajasthan.
