A recognised industry leader in renewable energy, Nicola joins Push with 8 years’ senior management experience in the energy sector. Most recently, Nicola was COO at Primrose Solar; a UK solar investor that acquired, built, operated and sold over 250MW of solar assets in the last 3 years.

Nicola has an extensive understanding of the industry and sits on the ENA’s Distributed Generation Forum, chairs the Solar Trade Association’s Strategic Grid Group, and speaks at numerous events covering grid and renewable asset management every year.

Stuart Bradshaw, CEO at Push, said: “Nicola’s experience of buy-side DD and industry awareness are a unique blend, and give a substantial boost to the leadership team at Push”.

“Her considerable knowledge of the UK energy sector, especially her connections with National Grid, will be incredibly valuable and prove a key asset to us. This will be especially important in 2017 as we start the construction of 120MW of capacity market funded projects within our Edge Power business.”

This senior appointment follows an earlier senior appointment in 2016 of Lee Maughan, group CFO. Together the executive team will lead the group’s activities across solar development, operations and management, flexible power generation, property development and a start-up technology business.

Nicola Waters, COO at Push, said: “Push is well-known for its ability to develop, construct and operate high-quality operating assets. Following our success in the Capacity Market, we will continue to build and diversify our portfolio of flexible generation assets; I am confident that Push will grow to be a market leader and make a tangible impact on the UK generation market.

I am delighted to join Push. The business values its people, fosters ambition and champions innovation, and I am very excited about what we can achieve together.”
