The job is new, but Lindemann is not at all new to either Valentin Software or to the solar sector. Born in Hamburg, already during his studies of energy and process engineering at the Technical University Berlin, he worked on practical projects, both planning back then still using pencil and paper and building photovoltaic and solar thermal systems.
After successfully completing his studies, the first five years with Dr. Valentin at EnergieSoftware GmbH were spent as Software Developer and Project Manager. In 2005, Lindemann moved to Conergy AG in Hamburg, where he quickly rose from Software Developer to Team Manager.
Again the importance of practical project work was evident to him here. Among other things, he carried out on-site commissioning of large (up to 5 MWp), dual-axis tracking PV systems in Spain.
Before taking up his new challenge at Valentin Software, Lindemann was for the last three years with Conergy AG, including a period with voltwerk electronics GmbH, working across a number of departments as Project Coordinator in Software Development.

Engineer Steffen Lindemann leads the Software Development department at Valentin Software since September 2010.
