The Chinese PV giant claims the project will be “the world’s largest solar canopy.”

Jolywood (Suzhou) Sunwatt will produce n-type monocrystalline bifacial solar cells at the plant in Taizhou, just to the north of Shanghai in China’s Jiangsu province.

GCL System Integration (GCL-SI) did not disclose the financial terms of the master distribution agreement, under which Guadalajara-based DMSolar will offer the Chinese PV maker’s components, as well as its GCL-P6/60 and GCL-P6/72 panels.

Beijing Enterprises Clean Energy (BECE) has signed a development agreement with the authorities in Weishan county, Shandong province, to build the solar project in the city of Jining.

The Chinese PV module supplier has 90 days to regain compliance with the listing standards of the New York Stock Exchange, according to a letter it received last week from the market regulator.
