GCL-Poly unveils $542 million wafer supply deal

A unit of Chinese energy group GCL-Poly Energy has agreed to supply wafers to PV module manufacturer GCL System Integration and one of its subsidiaries in a deal worth up to CNY 3.59 billion ($542.3 million).

Daqo posts $24.1 million net profit in Q3

Daqo New Energy recorded a net profit of $24.1 million in the third quarter of 2017, as the polysilicon and solar wafer producer’s revenue rose nearly 18% from the preceding three-month period to $89.4 million.

REC Silicon sees 38% sales increase in Q3

Leading polysilicon producer REC Silicon posted revenue of $75.5 million in the third quarter – 23% above the previous quarter. REC saw a 38.2% increase in sales volume, despite polysilicon production for the quarter coming in slightly below guidance.

Wacker Chemie raises 2017 expectations to €1 billion EBITDA

German chemical supplier has raised its financial outlook for the year for the second time in three months, on the back of a strong third quarter. The company is now forecasting a full year EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) of €1 billion.
