The German PV equipment supplier expects to post a loss for this year, due to a €11 million compensation paid to Algerian company CEEG.

The solar plant will provide several municipalities of the state of Coahuila and the state government with power, under a 15-year PPA. The project is owned by a fund of Australian investment bank Macquarie.

Solar rebates will range from €5,000 to €30,000, depending on the project size.

The PV plant portfolio will be acquired from Italian renewable energy company ErgyCapital for €68 million.

The $2.5 million initiative will be financed by the World Bank and will enable the installation of around 1 MW of rooftop PV systems.

The funds will be used to bring solar power solutions to the country’s under served northeastern counties.

The Russian energy company has raised the capacity of the Orsk solar photovoltaic plant in Orenburg region from 25 MW to 40 MW.

The company credited shipments of nearly 2 million optimizers and 75,000 inverters, along with increased sales in Europe, for the increase.

The Indian industrial conglomerate is currently planning to build a 150 MW vertically integrated PV panel manufacturing facility.

The plan is expected to enable deployment of more PV arrays on the roofs of the city’s public buildings, and to rely on storage.
