Optimizing ROI: How to profit from using modules with high-power and large wafers?

Manufacturers promise that using high-power modules with larger wafers reduces the LCOE and increases the ROI compared to standard solutions. However, what exactly makes up the cost structure? We will discuss this in our pv magazine Webinar in partnership with Seraphim Solar System, on the basis of a case study.

Carl Lee, EMEA Sales Director at Seraphim, will crunch the numbers to show how the LCOE of an installation with the new 540-Watt module with 182mm wafers compares to that using a smaller standard module. He will also introduce the Seraphim S4 Seris half-cell module in detail, and the ideas behind the technological innovations.

Effectively adapting the electronic design of such high-powered modules is the key element for low LCOEs. The modules themselves will be available in both mono- and bifacial versions. Charles Wang, Sales Director of SMA Greater China, will present and discuss different approaches for the power electronics design of plants using such mono- and bifacial high-powered modules, using single and multi-MPP-tracker inverters.
