Bouygues Thai and Bouygues Energies & Services have agreed to undertake the EPC and operations and maintenance work, for a period of five years, of three 10 MW photovoltaic plants in the Tak and Sukhothai provinces of north-east Thailand for Soleq Solar Thailand.
Work on the 30 MW project is slated to begin in May, and should be completed by the end of the year. Overall, 100,000 photovoltaic panels are expected to be installed over 60 acres; enough energy should be generated to meet the needs of 90,000 people.
"With rapidly growing energy needs, Thailand is one of the most promising markets in Asia for the renewable energies sector," said Bouygues in a statement released.
No further project details were released.
