ACC has agreed to design, build and maintain a distributed-generation PV system for the P&G subsidiary. It will bear 100% of the investment, in line with its core business model in China, which involves setting up small PV projects for foreign companies. It generally holds those projects for long-term returns, rather than pursuing a build-to-sell model.
In November 2016, for example, ACC signed a deal with Hanwha Q Cells to build 200 MW of PV capacity throughout China. This past summer, it signed a similar 200 MW solar development deal with CENTER International Group. It also finished building a 19 MW rooftop PV array at a shipyard owned by Tsuneishi in Zhoushan, Zhejiang province. And last month, ACC announced the completion of a small PV array at a factory owned by Danone China Food & Beverage in Zhongshan, China’s Guangdong province.

ACC did not reveal the specifications of the solar system it will design for P&G. It said the project will contribute to the reduction of about 34,733 tons of CO2, as well as 64,835 tons of water consumption. The company aims to finish building more than 200 MW of solar capacity this year.
