India solar capacity forecast for 2020 raised by 240%

A newly released Deutsche Bank markets research report has adjusted its solar power forecast prognosis for India to 34 GW by 2020, an increase of about 240% from its previous estimation of 14 GW. India has a pivotal part to play with its 2020 commitment to solar energy increasing five-folds to 100 GW.

Fraunhofer ISE: Minimal deviation in module quality measurements globally

The Fraunhofer ISE CalLab PV Modules has compared the results of their PV modules measurements with three other top international measurement labs for PV modules. The round robin tests show that all measurements have a minimal deviation of ±1% from the mean, and thereby fall well within the measurement precision of 1.8%.

Singapore: Housing Development Board calls largest solar-leasing tender

The Housing Development Board (HDB) of Singapore is currently drawing up plans for the largest single solar-leasing project to date. The tender calls for 5MW in total in four precints on the main island.

Conergy negotiates with potential investors

German solar solutions provider Conergy is currently in negotiations with seven potential investors from Asia and Europe for the takeover of its Conergy SolarModule facility in the eastern German state of Brandenburg. Employees at the plant were updated on these talks yesterday evening.
