EDEN, a joint venture between EREN Renewable Energy and EDF Energies Nouvelles, has installed three solar power plants in India amounting to 87 MW. The JV now operates 200 MW capacity in India.

India’s power generation company National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) is presently installing 50 MW of Solar in Tamil Nadu State and is expected to add 200 MW by 2019.

Energy Efficiency Services Limited EESL’s projects, under one of the largest funding by Global Environment Facility (GEF) to date, will mitigate 60 million tons of CO2 emissions. UN Environment’s ‘District Energy in Cities’ initiative already identified $600 million of energy efficiency projects across five cities in India.

International Solar Alliance (ISA) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) have signed the joint financial partnership declaration to support solar energy projects developed under ISA programs.

The Italy-based PV equipment manufacturer is soon to finish commissioning of another South-East Asia project, a 20 MW line in Indonesia, by December 2017.

NLC India (NLCIL) plans to install 500 MW of solar in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
