The two U.S.-based companies have announced a major partnership for the acquisition of USD 300 million in operating clean energy assets, with a focus on distributed solar projects in the near-term.

Asia Clean Capital (ACC) has a signed a power purchase agreement with Wahaha Group for a 3.5 MW commercial PV project. The capacity will be developed at 2 sites in Quzhou, Zhejiang province.

The Redwood Group will install PV modules on a second roof at a distribution center in Osaka, adding another 4 MW to an existing plant.

In 2017, 54 new solar projects with a total capacity of 460 MW will be implemented enabling the country to exceed 1 GW of installed PV plants.

It’s back to business as usual for solar in the second week of January. After a brief new year’s rest, the global industry is hitting 2017 at full speed and already showing the beginnings of another action packed year.
