Centrosolar applies for creditor protection

The German PV manufacturer has applied for a protective shield at a local Hamburg law court in order to protect the company from anticipated creditor demands during a restructuring process.

Petition filed to force Suntech into bankruptcy in the US

A petition has been filed by bondholders on Monday to force module manufacturer Suntech into involuntary bankruptcy in the U.S. The bondholders who hold about US$580,000 in bonds in the financially-troubled company are seeking to place Suntech under the Chapter 7 bankruptcy code.
