Update: ITC votes in favor of tariffs; finds no critical circumstances

As reported yesterday, the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) has unanimously determined that Chinese photovoltaic imports materially injured the U.S. industry, meaning AD and CV duty orders will be issued. It has, however, determined that no critical circumstances were present. Thus, retroactive duties will not be applied.

Domestic module shipments hoped to lift Q3 results for the Chinese solar industry

On the back of photovoltaic tariffs for Chinese manufacturers exporting modules into the U.S., expectations were that the Chinese market would become a substitute for its domestic manufacturers.
