Bisol, Slovenian photovoltaic (PV) module producer has introduced an innovative way for the industry to sort modules into optimal PV plant array, patent pending. Labels on the back side of Bisol PV modules are now equipped with information necessary for the installers to ideally position the modules inside a PV plant array, says the company. Improved arrangement of the modules is unique among the PV module producers and directly leads to better energy yields of PV systems.

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. has received a contract for engineering and implementing production tooling for the Fisker Karma solar photovoltaic (PV) roof module. Under the contract, Quantum and its German solar affiliate Asola Advanced and Automotive Solar Systems GmbH will design and procure production tooling to enable production of solar roof modules beginning in the fourth quarter of this year.

Next year’s European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC) will be held in Hamburg, Germany. The event will be hosted by the CCH – Congress Centre and International Fair Hamburg: the conference will run from 5 – 9 September 2011, whilst the exhibition is set to be held from 5 – 8 September 2011.
