Ho Chi Minh City / Zurich 15 August, 2023 — Vietnam-based solar power developer, CME Solar Investments (CME Solar), has secured 20 million USD as long-term senior secured financing from the Swiss-based global impact investor, responsAbility. This investment represents responsAbility’s most substantial commitment to Climate Financing to date, bringing the total investment in CME Solar to USD 32 million by 2023. The success of their initial investment two years ago, marked by CME Solar’s technical achievements and adherence to environmental and social standards, has provided a solid foundation for this continued collaboration with responsAbility.

LONGi has joined forces with India’s URON Energy to supply its high-efficiency Hi-MO series modules to the country’s Diamond Bourse located in the Gujarati city of Surat.

WECO Contact GmbH, manufacturer of connection elements for the electronics and electrical engineering sector, announces that the extremely robust 158 / 159 Series PCB terminal blocks will be used in the control of heat pumps. An important cooperation partner here is the electronic component manufacturer Hora eTec GmbH, which supplies, among other things, the precision-manufactured terminal body made of nickel-plated brass. “Hora eTec has been a preferred supplier for WECO Contact since 2017. The cooperation is characterized by punctual deliveries and consistent quality. Through our joint development, we actively contribute to the promotion of sustainable and energy-efficient heating solutions, which in turn promotes climate protection,” says Detlef Fritsch, Managing Director of WECO Contact GmbH.

With the approval, LONGi has become one of more than 4600 companies worldwide that have joined the SBTi and set science-based targets. Among them, LONGi is the first Chinese solar photovoltaic company that has obtained the official validation.   

SunGiga’s module design allows for additional storage capacity to be added or removed to fine-tune the system to meet the storage demands of many more consumers than would be allowed with a fixed-capacity battery system.
