Kyrgyzstan’s National Investment Agency and Hungary’s Electron Holding have agreed to develop up to 300 MW of solar capacity in Kyrgyzstan with planned investments of $300 million.
Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Energy has signed an agreement with Vietnam’s Rox Energy Global and RECA LLC to develop a 1.9 GW solar project. The installation is scheduled for completion in 2027.
The Eurasian Development Bank has agreed to provide $210 million over 15 years for Bishkek Solar to build a 300 MW solar plant in Kyrgyzstan. National Electric Grid of Kyrgyzstan will purchase the electricity for a period of 25 years.
The agreement includes the possibility of establishing an industrial cluster for solar module manufacturing, as well as industrial and financial cooperation within the Eurasian Economic Union.
