Donauer Solartechnik has expanded its offices into the UK with a new sales office. "After the UK introduced its feed-in tariffs in April 2010 and the demand for photovoltaic systems climbed, we decided to consolidate our well-established activities in the UK in a separate sales office," explained Rudolf Donauer, Managing Director of the Gilching-based solar energy company. The objective is to develop an independent subsidiary, replete with an independent logistics and on-site technical service department in 2011. The company already has subsidiaries and sales offices in Portugal, Italy, France, the Czech Republic and Belgium.
The company is seeking to align itself with the UK market's needs by deploying its very own specialist team from the headquarters in Gilching to design and deliver stand-alone systems for self-sustaining power supplies with photovoltaic or hybrid systems to the British market that has a long tradition in the off-grid sector. Iain Garner, supported by the German headquarters, is managing the new sales office.
