The Berlin-based company was awarded the contract by Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). Construction is scheduled to begin this April and is expected to be completed by October.

The plant, which will cover an area of around 160 acres, will be located near Fresno in central California. It will reportedly utilize Solon’s Velocity MW cluster concept, which comprises fixed tilt mounting, and its SCADA system for remote control and monitoring.

??The project is part of PG&E’s 250 MW Utility Owned Generation (UOG) PV Program, a five-year plan for the construction of utility owned solar power plants.
