According to the terms, the German photovoltaic company will initially receive 180 MW worth of both multi- and mono-crystalline Panda modules from the Chinese manufacturer throughout the year. There is then the option for IBC to purchase an additional 20 MW.
A statement released said that the modules will be used for projects in Germany, Europe, and globally. A spokesperson for IBC declined to release any further project information, since many of the specifics are yet to be finalized.
Commenting, Liansheng Miao, Yingli chairman and CEO, said, "We believe this agreement demonstrates our partners’ strong confidence in the continuous growth of the PV industry and indicates the robust demand of our products in 2012."
