LDK now major Sunways shareholder

In a statement released, Sunways said, "The increase in the share capital of Sunways AG … to EUR 17,378,613 has been … completed."

In January, Sunways made the decision to increase its share capital and that only LDK Solar Germany Holding GmbH would be entitled to subscribe for these new shares. All of the shares were subscribed to by LDK. It now holds 30 percent of the voting rights of Sunways and is, as such, the major shareholder.

LDK Solar Germany Holding GmbH is an indirect subsidiary of LDK Solar Co. Ltd.
