China: Construction on 40 MW PV project underway

Share

Located in Gonghe County of Hainan prefecture, the 20 MW Juya and 20 MW Guangke plants are expected to be connected to the grid by the end of this year. Surpass Sun Electric has undertaken the entire project, from the planning phase, through to engineering, procurement and construction.

The photovoltaic inverter company will also use its 500KW Plateau grid inverters and Magic system technology in the projects. It did not disclose which modules have been chosen, however.

In a statement released, Surpass Sun Electric said it will receive a tariff – based on 2012 Qinghai’s on-grid rates – of ¥ 1.00/KWh (around €0.12, or US$0.16), and thus an annual generating revenue of ¥ 30,000,000 for each plant.
