Germany's IBC Solar has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Morocco's SEWT in the North African country.

SEWT, which specializes in renewable energy projects and turnkey PV systems, will have access to IBC Solar's supply of high-quality products for its Moroccan solar projects as a result of the collaboration.

The deal makes SEWT IBC Solar’s exclusive distribution partner for the Moroccan market while providing the German group with a local expert in the country’s emerging solar sector.

"The Moroccan PV market holds significant potential for growth, particularly in the sector of small and medium-sized installations for private households and commercial self-consumption," said SEWT Technical Director Ali Hajii.

In addition to the distribution agreement, IBC Solar and SEWT plan to set up a network of well-trained experts by providing training courses to local installers.

Hajii added that SEWT looked forward "to further developing our presence in the North African market together with IBC Solar. The system integrator offers a wide range of PV equipment and maintains an excellent reputation."

IBC Solar has subsidiaries and premium partners such as SEWT in more than 30 major and growing international markets inside and outside of Europe.
