Sonnen is responding to a changing market environment for residential energy storage, where larger systems have become more cost-effective due to rising energy prices and new regulatory requirements. It has announced temporary price reductions valid through the end of June.

For example, customers who purchase a “sonnenBatterie 10 hybrid” with a capacity of 22 kWh, will get this for the price of an 11 kWh unit. The discount also applies to the larger 27.5 kWh model, which will be offered for the price of a 16.5 kWh system. Sonnen also announced on Wednesday that it will offer a net discount of €1,200 ($1,392) on its AC-coupled home storage systems, the “sonnenBatterie 10,” for models with a capacity of 11 kWh or more.
