China: Wirsol to develop projects with Suntech
German company Wirsol Solar is planning the first 20 megawatt (MW) order of projects with Suntech. Large solar stations are planned in Qinghai Province in the north eastern part of China.
Sale of Serenissima project to be concluded

Tanzania: Largest solar project takes off
Camco International Limited and Rex Investment Ltd (RIL) have won a tender worth US$4.7 million for a solar PV project in Kigoma Region, northwest Tanzania. The project is due to commence in May this year.
