Convert Italia and Solaria Corporation have completed work on a two megawatt (MW) low concentrating photovoltaic (LCPV) power plant in Puglia, Italy. It is thought to be the world’s largest.

Canadian Solar has posted comparatively positive first quarter (Q1) 2012 financial results. Overall, the photovoltaic module manufacturer expects its total solutions business to generate an increasing amount of revenues over the next two years.

SMA sees strong Q1 2012 demand

SMA Solar Technology AG has recorded a positive start to 2012, with increased photovoltaic inverter sales achieved. The company forecasts falling demand in Europe, however, for the rest of the year.
