Eon plans to take majority share in Innogy

Eon has announced plans to take over a 76.8% stake in the German utility, RWE’s renewable energy spin-off, Innogy. The acquisition is part of a far-reaching agreement between the two, which envisages redistributing operations so that RWE focuses on the renewable energy business, while energy networks and customer solutions would be the responsibility of Eon.

TEPCO reaffirms renewables commitment, vows to expand globally

The head of Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) has said that the Japanese company remains committed to renewables development, and has vowed to expand the regional utility’s business beyond its home market in the coming years.

EU Battery Alliance wants 20 EU giga factories, Saft announces partnership with Siemens, Manz and Solvay
