US: Call for 100 MWs to be installed by 2013 as Go Solar Georgia campaign launches

The Georgia Solar Energy Association (Georgia Solar) has called for the U.S. state of Georgia to install 100 megawatts (MWs) of solar power by 2013.

M+W Group sets up 14.5 MW PV power station in Italy

Engineering and construction company M+W Group has won an order to plan and build a large photovoltaics (PV) power park in central Italy. The project is to be delivered as a turnkey plant and will have a maximum output of 14.5 megawatts (MW), according to the company. Solarfun to increase cell capacity by 50 MW; will introduce high-efficiency cell technology

Solarfun Power Holdings Co., Ltd., based in Qidong, Jiangsu Province, China, has said it is to increase its cell capacity by 50 megawatts (MW) through the enhancement of its manufacturing processes, and will convert 160 MW of its existing cell lines to high-efficiency selective emitter technology. Both aims are to be completed in the early first quarter of next year, says the company.
