Ontario ranks high for PV
Ontario has moved ahead of New Jersey to take second place in North American solar photovoltaic (PV) rankings for 2010. The first place is still held by California, but the current rate of growth in Ontario could rival the sunny state this year.
PV inverter market to reach US$8.5 billion in 2014
According to IMS Research, the global PV inverter market is expected grow at compound annual rates of nearly 25 percent. IMS also adds that seven million inverters are expected to be sold in 2014 compared to less than one million in 2009.
Greece grants license for CSP tower
A 38 megawatts solar electricity license has been granted by the Greek regulatory agency to Nur-MOH SA for the construction of the reportedly largest concentrated solar power tower installation in Europe on the island of Crete.
Innotech buys a third of REC solar facility
Innotech has bought approximately a third of the shares of the Renewable Energy Corporation’s (REC) solar module manufacturing at Glava, Sweden. The facility has a capacity of 150 megawatts per year.

Decision about German solar promotion this week
