GCL-SI Named Tier 1 PV Manufacturer by Bloomberg New Energy Finance

GCL System Integration Technology, a subsidiary of the world’s leading energy group GCL, has been named in the Tier 1 list of Bloomberg New Energy Finance’s (BNEF), ranking of photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturers. On the list, GCL-SI is ranked No. 2 based on its annual solar module capacity.
BNEF’s tiering system categorizes hundreds of solar module manufacturers into three tiers based on bankability — the ability of solar product-related projects to acquire non-recourse debt financing from banks.
Tier 1 manufacturers have to prove they are able to provide own-brand, self-made products to five different projects that are non-recourse financed by five different (non-development) banks. BNEF also only considers projects that have over 1.5 MW capacity.
Featuring on BNEF’s tiering system demonstrates that GCL-SI fulfills all its criteria.
Mr. Shu Hua, president of GCL-SI, said, "GCL-SI has grown quickly since its establishment. In less than a year, we have developed international projects that reach BNEF standards. It is a rare case in the solar industry."
The "Tier 1" list has been widely used in manufacturing forecasts and preliminary competitor analysis as an important method to distinguish the major, bankable suppliers in the PV industry. It is reviewed and updated every quarter with new information added to BNEF’s database.
"With GCL-SI on the Tier 1 list, it signifies our ability to secure debt financing from banks and to provide quality PV module products," added Mr. Shu. "It will also bring our company more opportunities to explore the market and allow us to contribute more to global green energy."

Intersolar South America 2016 exceeded all expectations

With more than 11,500 visitors from over 30 countries, the 4th Intersolar South America exhibition ended in São Paulo last week. 180 international exhibitors attended the event, providing important information to industry specialists, investors and project planers over the course of three days.
“We were amazed at the interest shown,” says Daniel Strowitzi of FMMi, joint organizer together with business partners and colleagues. “The exhibitors were extremely pleased with the number of important visitors. We also got excellent feedback on running the event in parallel with ENIE, the specialist trade show for electrical installations.” Thiago Andrade and Bruno Girotto, who both work as integrators and recently launched their own business, attended the exhibition for the first time and were excited about the possibilities offered by the solar industry: “We have high expectations, and we’re going to stay here all three days.”

More than 1,500 participants attended the accompanying conference. Camila Ramos, CELA Director, organized a panel discussion at the conference focusing on financing PV and distributed generation plants. “There are 1,400 companies with projected investments of R$140 billion. The Brazilian solar market has the potential of 80 to 110 GW of solar installations until 2040,” states Camila. Conference attendee Ivo Chavan, who is an electrical engineer in the field of automation processes for energy efficiency, comments: “I made very important contacts for closing future business deals. I attended all conference sessions, and it helped me a lot to boost my knowledge, especially regarding large-scale PV power plants.”

The Brazilian solar market will continue to cause excitement. Next year, Intersolar South America will run at the Expocenter Norte from August 22-24, 2017.

3GW's of Solar Farm Partnerships Offered Up at Deep Discounts

Innovative Solar Ventures I LP is an Early-Stage Solar Venture Firm. With nearly 3GW of Solar Projects under management, ISV invests in the completion of the design and development of ‘Utility Scale Solar Farm Projects" within the U.S. 68 Solar Projects are held by ISV, spanning across 7 states and, multiple markets. Pursuing the development of this large pool of projects creates a hedge, mitigating risks typically associated with early stage venture capital investments. All early stage design and development is performed and managed by our parent company, a leading developer of Solar Farm Projects within the U.S.
ISV presents a very unique opportunity, investing in early stage solar venture capital projects grouped within a large portfolio. The successful projects are netting well above average returns. In addition to the attractive returns, members of ISV, have early access to fully acquire the rights to the Solar Projects held by ISV. Not only can the members of ISV expect an excellent return on their investment, but have the ability to acquire the premium Solar Projects at preferred rates before they hit the market.
It is no secret that the superior Solar Projects rarely, if ever hit the market for acquisition. They are acquired during the early stages of development by the investors and institutions that fund this work. Members of ISV can contribute anywhere from $5Mill – $30Mill US Dollars in the LP’s for above average net returns and early access to acquire premium solar farm projects. This rare and unique opportunity to gain access to early stage premium Solar Projects is going to pass quickly.
