Developed and moderated by pv magazine, the panel sessions address a hot topic within the industry, from multiple angles. This shorter event format gathers experts from the industry, who will all bring some new insights to the conversation.
In partnership with the Energy Storage Europe, we are producing our annual pv magazine energy+storage Europe special edition, where we will be highlighting the top innovative products and projects that have been released in the last 12 months.
This is an opportunity for exhibiting companies to be featured in the special edition publication, which will be distributed with our international print publication, and widely distributed at the event and expo. The Top 5 companies will also receive public recognition at the event from our experts and jurors. See qualification terms and evaluation criteria below.
Due to the postponement of the ESE, we will be hosting our Storage Highlights Ceremony online as a webinar on Wednesday, 11 March.
Our Storage Highlight Ceremony is now happening online due to the postponement of the Energy Storage Europe. Join us for a Juror-nalist discussion on the top ranked products and projects from the show and trends, and take part in the virtual event on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 from 10:00-11:30AM.
ARE WARRANTIES WORTH THE PAPER THEY’RE WRITTEN ON?
With PV modules being sold today with longer warranties than ever before the PV installer community should feel safe in offering their customers assurances that the products will stand the test of time. However, when modules underperform or fail, making claims on those warranties is rarely straightforward.
Some failures, such as backsheet degradation, can be visible to the naked eye – but their impact on long-term performance can be disputed. Other performance issues, such as PID, LID or LeTID, may be detected by monitoring, power electronics or on-site testing, however even here manufacturers may require lengthy processes to be followed before issuing replacements or reimbursement.
Given these circumstances, where does it leave the installer? How can this liability, often extending to the many thousands of modules, be mitigated? pv magazine Australia’s “Insight on Quality” session will address this, through the discussion of a case study that both shocks and astounds.
The Insight on Quality is a part of the All Energy 2020 digital conference and brings together an unparalleled team of team of technologists and market participants to discuss this vital issue.
With solar industry events canceled or postponed globally, pv magazine is taking its successful Roundtables program online. Sign up for free, log on, hear from the experts, and join the discussion!
This year, pv magazine is setting a new editorial agenda. Via the UP initiative, we will be diving deep into the topic of what it means to be truly sustainable, looking at what is already being done, and discussing areas for improvement. Over the coming weeks, months, and years, we will share our findings across our various digital platforms, in our print magazines, and via our roundtable events and webinars. Are you UP for it?
