Saudi Arabia announces shortlist for 300 MW tender, excludes lowest bid

Shortlisted bidders are Saudi energy company, ACWA and Japanese trading company, Marubeni, which submitted the second and third lowest bids, respectively. The lowest bid, which was proposed by consortium formed by UAE-based Masdar and French energy giant, EDF and could have become the world’s cheapest offer for solar energy, was excluded from the auction.

Oman’s oil producer PDO issues tender for 100 MW solar project

Nestlé to install 7 MW of rooftop solar at three Dubai sites

Acwa Power secures financing for 61.3 MW Jordan project

The project’s lenders are the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Deutsche Investitions- Und Entwicklungsgesellschaft Mbh (DEG) and Arab Bank to Risha for Solar Power Projects PSC. The facility will be built in the eastern province of Risha by the first quarter of 2019.
