The huge solar project was selected in the energy auction held by the Mexican government in 2016. The plant will be located in the state of Coahuila and will be connected to the grid in the second half of 2018.

The renewable energy unit of Italian utility Enel installed 763 MW of additional solar capacity in 2016. Most of this capacity is located in Latin America and South Africa.

The Adams and Pulida projects were awarded in the third round of South Africa’s REIPPPP solicitation, and this brings Enel to 323 MW of solar online in the nation.

IBC Solar has decided to take the plunge in the exciting South African market, by setting up its own subsidiary in the country with its partner maxx | solar energy, after undertaking a number of projects alongside the company.

Through its subsidiary Enel Green Power North America, Italian multinational the Enel Group has announced the acquisition of a 100% stake in Demand Energy, a U.S. company specializing in intelligent software and storage systems.

The tender is for the supply of electricity between January and May 2017, to cover the needs of a public agency.
