IFC to support 600MW solar park development site in Indian state of Uttar Pradesh

The solar project-ready site will be developed by state-run hydropower company THDC in a joint venture with the Uttar Pradesh New & Renewable Energy Development Agency. The International Finance Corporation will lend its expertise to attract private investment for the public-private partnership.

Damp heat–stable perovskite solar cell with 24.3% efficiency

Developed by scientists in Saudi Arabia, the perovskite cell was able to retain over 95% of its initial efficiency after 1,000 hours at damp-heat test conditions. The cell was fabricated with a substrate made of glass and indium tin oxide (ITO), 2D layers, a 3D perovskite layer, an electron-selective layer, a buffer layer based on bathocuproine (BCP), and silver metal contact.

Slovenian oil provider builds PV plants totaling 22MW in Croatia

Petrol Group is investing €17 million in the construction of three solar parks in Knin, southern Croatia. The facilities will start producing electricity at the beginning of 2023.
