Longi Green Energy Technology Co., Ltd has announced plans to build a 228 MW solar PV project in China. The Chinese vertically integrated solar PV manufacturer has also signed a 39,600 metric ton (MT) high purity polysilicon agreement with Daqo New Energy Corp.

Japan’s JGC to construct 49 MW PV project in Vietnam
Japanese engineering company, JGC has been awarded a contract for the construction of a 49 MW (AC) power plant in Southern Vietnam. The contract has been signed with Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company, a subsidiary of the TTC Group.
Acciona breaks ground on 404 MW solar park in Mexico
The solar complex, Puerto Libertad will be located in the state of Sonora. The project’s completion is scheduled for the fourth quarter of this year.

France awards 80 MW of rooftop PV projects
The French Ministry of Energy, Ecology and Sustainable Development has announced the winners of a tender concerning the installation of 80 MW of rooftop PV projects. Winning projects will receive on average a generation tariff of EUR 131.25 per MWh.
Greece to tender PV capacity in December
Greece will run its first renewable energy tender on 12 December. It is a pilot tender for a total capacity of at least 40 MW, which is reserved solely for solar PV projects.
