The German Solar Industry Association (BSW) will present products, systems technology and services for the electrification of remote areas at the “BSW-Solar Rural Electrification Info-Point” special exhibition.

A variety of applications for the electrification of public institutions, such as schools and hospitals, will also be shown. In addition, innovative technical solutions for rural energy provision and mini-grids (small, decentralized electricity grids) will be provided.

Over 14 BSW member companies will be present at the exhibition. Their aim is to cover all the important components in the field of “off-grid” systems, ranging from solar modules to charge controllers and inverters, and batteries to small-scale complete solutions. Visitors will also be provided with descriptions of projects that the exhibiting companies have already realized in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Moreover, the international solar technology sector will share information on current industry trends and developments at the Intersolar Europe Conference, which started today. It will be divided into three subject areas: (i) photovoltaics; (ii) solar thermal technology; and (iii) solar thermal power plants. Grid-independent photovoltaics will also play a significant role in the program. Furthermore, "PV Off-grid Power – Quality Assurance for Products and Services" will be examined.

Intersolar Europe specializes in the fields of “Photovoltaics” and “Solar Thermal Technology”. Over 1,800 exhibitors will present their products and services over an area of 130,000 sqm. More than 60,000 international visitors are expected to attend.
